Double delight! Three B's crowned Pub of the Year & Cider Pub of the Year 2026

Sunday 22 March 2026

Patrons and Yorkshire Wolds CAMRA members came together to celebrate Three B's double triumph.

Despite the typically changeable Yorkshire weather, spirits were high today as we presented our 2026 Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year awards to Three B's Micropub in a cheerful ceremony marking another major success for the popular Bridlington venue.

From L-R: Jonquil Beynon (Yorkshire Wolds CAMRA Chair), Mark and Cheryl Bates (Three B's Micropub), Alan Hutchinson (Yorkshire Wolds CAMRA Treasurer).

Sweeping the board

The micropub secured a double triumph this year, taking both top honours after impressing Yorkshire Wolds CAMRA branch members with its consistently well-kept cask ales, varied cider range and strong community atmosphere. It follows an earlier victory in 2024, reinforcing Three B’s reputation as one of the area’s standout real ale destinations.

Expansion plans

2026 could prove to be a monumentous year for Mark and Cheryl Bates in more ways than one. With new premises purchased just round the corner on Wellington Road, Three B's is all set to relocate at some point in the summer. And while the venue will be larger, with a sun-trap beer garden and wider selection of beers and ciders on offer, it will still maintain that same micropub atmosphere that has proved so popular.

What keeps Three B's top of the tree?

While Pub of the Year is voted for exclusively by Yorkshire Wolds CAMRA members, there are some clear reasons why Three B's remains one of the most successful real ale and cider pubs in our branch area.

  • An ever-changing line-up: Aside from the much-loved Barnsley Bitter, Mark and Cheryl pride themselves on never serving the same beer twice. There is always something new and exciting on, with many ales sourced locally from the Yorkshire region.
  • A cider-lover's paradise: With a strong focus on real cider and perry, it's no surprise that Three B's continues to claim the coveted Cider Pub of the Year prize. Thanks to a huge selection from cider makers across the UK (including Yorkshire!), there really is a cider to suit all tastes.
  • Good food, sourced locally: For those who get a bit peckish while supping their pints, Three B's offers hot homemade sausage rolls or pies made a literal stone's throw away by a local butcher.
