A message from our Chair
To all our CAMRA Yorkshire Wolds members and committee, thank you for making our launch of The Good Beer Guide 2026 such a success.
Ten pubs from our local area made it into The Good Beer Guide. They are:
Board Inn, Bridlington Old Town
Old Ship Inn, Bridlington Old Town
Pack Horse Inn, Bridlington Old Town
Three B's Micropub, Bridlington
To our members, who regularly beer score in our lovely pubs and take part in the annual voting to recognise the entrants who are consistently serving great cask ale, cider and perry. Together with our many visitors from other CAMRA branches far and wide who also come to our area to sample and score their beers. We need your continued involvement to ensure that these pubs are recognised for their sterling efforts throughout the year.
Thank you to Paul Anderson from Trout Inn Wansford, who hosted our launch event and to those licensees who attended: Cheryl Bates from Three B's Micropub, Helen Norman from Pack Horse Inn, Julie Coates and Lewis, Gurney from Moon Tap (all in Bridlington) and Nat Waudby from Butchers Dog, Driffield.
To our Committee members who visited the pubs distributing The Good Beer Guide promotional packs, Cheryl Bates for printing the pub posters, Alan Hutchinson who undertook the driving for us all, Adam Chard for a successful social media campaign and Trevor Wraith who joined us for the Bridlington leg of the journey. Lots of time and effort has been made to ensure that licensees received their information in a timely manner ahead of the launch. All of which were well received and well deserved.
Driffield and Wolds Weekly sent their photographer Michael Hopps to Trout Inn and there will be an article in their newspaper on Tuesday. Thank you Mike.
So, finally, congratulations once again to all ten of our licensees and roll on The Good Beer Guide 2027, for which we are seeking nominations.
